We are excited to announce that a new documentary, focusing on the work of Mott Green and The Grenada Chocolate Company will be shown at Chocolate Unwrapped.
Nothing Like Chocolate, narrated by Susan Sarandon, exposes how the cocoa bean has moved from being a sacred plant to merely a cog in the corporate exploitation of large portions of the world and celebrates the work of Mott, whose co-operative The Grenada Chocolate Company is a shining example of how chocolate can be produced ethically and sustainably.
Directed by Kum Kum Bhavnani, the film was awarded Best of the Fest at Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Best Documentary at the ITN Los Angeles Film Festival and received nominations for several other international film festivals, including Best Documentary at the Milan International Film Festival.
The UK premiere of the film takes place at the Ritzy cinema in Brixton on Monday 8th October, the first day of Chocolate Week. The public screening will take place at 6.30pm at Chocolate Unwrapped on Saturday 13th October. Registration for the screening will be available at the show.
