Tobago Cocoa is a fine flavour chocolate producer established in 2005.
Tobago-born Duane Dove grew up on the island of Tobago. He spent a larger part of his childhood helping out on the family’s cocoa estate which involved harvesting, fermenting, sun drying cocoa beans and grading them. After 14 years of working as a Sommelier in Europe Duane returned to Tobago and purchased an abandoned cocoa estate in the Roxborough district, nestled in the lush green hills of the National Forest Reserve and overlooking the Atlantic ocean. He began replanting the fields with new hybrid cocoa trees and in January 2010 after 5 years of intensive planting, Tobago's first ever Single Estate chocolate bar was launched. The Tobago Estate Chocolate brand is a 70% dark chocolate now sold worldwide. The estate also offers daily tours with lunch and a chocolate tasting as a part of its Agro-Tourism approach to cocoa farming.
